BORROWED FROM THE PAST
While rebuilding the 1927 garage, I found something that changed the direction of Prowess & Victory. Hidden in the cedar shakes were faint stamps, mill marks, and a simple symbol that looked like it had been there forever. They were imperfect, worn down, and utilitarian.
That discovery became a starting point for the P&V wordmark. The shapes, spacing, and overall feel were pulled from the kind of lettering you’d find on old materials and in early industrial photos, then reinterpreted into something clean and modern.
Even the cross on the skull traces back to that same source. What started as a small mark in the wood became a signature element, folded into the P&V world as a quiet nod to where this whole thing was built.
